102.4 Degrees

Poor little guy was soooo hot lastnight, so I took his temperature and he had a fever of 101.5 with his pacifier thermometer. We didn't sleep much at all, he would only sleep on my chest, but not flat. So, we called the doc this morning and they wanted to see him AND SOON! Got there, temperature (rectally) was 102.4, but his ears, nose, throat, lungs, heart, all looked GREAT... so they sent us to the Emergency room where they did blood and urine tests, as well as an x-ray since he looked so amazingly happy and aware and healthy.... ?)))???? So, anyway his fever is coming down (100.8) and he is pretty happy compared with lastnight. It only took five hours at random doctor's offices and hospitals to be absolutely sure... Here's one of the random people who checked him out today while mommy held him (I stayed home with him today and she took a cab over to the emergency room when we went there).
